Too many books, too little time.
4 Sizzling Hot Stars!! Greg Cage feels the need to protect. That’s why he does what he does and why he always was so close to Iz’s, it is in his nature.
And that’s because he couldn’t protect the only person that mattered, his sisters Grace, which was murdered by her husband that went MIA after that.
The guilt of not being able to save his sisters is consuming him for the past ten years.
Then he meets Meli, the first woman who brought him to his knees and he soon finds out that she is as lost as him, for the very same reasons. She lost her sisters too, because of his husband. And she also feels the bear on her shoulders of not have being able to save her.
And in the beginning their grief brings them closer… when they start finding out that have a lot more in common than they initially thought… that could be the reason that will eventually break them apart.
This was pretty good. I liked the first one better, but this was also a great reading.
The characters were good, the story was very well written and in some moments it got some tears out of me.
This has a LOT of steam (really, so HOT!) and has a lot of romance. So if you like this type of books you can’t miss it ;)
My only complaint is the overuse of curse words and “trash talk”. Believe, I have the mouth of a little pirate and curse all the time. And my friends and I do “trash talk” all the time. It is one of our favorite past-times. But there is a moment where it starts to become slightly uncomfortable and that was what happened for me in this book.
Other than that… go read it! You know you want to ;)
4.5 Boo Stars!!! :D 
Jules is a social worker that does way more than is required of her job. She takes protecting children very seriously and all she wants is assuring that they have a great future. They’re “her kids.”
Coming from a hard past where she lost all her family (except for an uncle) she connects very deeply with her kids… so when she finds one of them dead, well, she wants to revenge his death and starts a vendetta against Denver’s drug dealers.
Obviously, this puts her in trouble with a lot of bad men. Not that she really cares.
During her crusade, she stumbles upon Nightingales men… and friends, and after very heated discussions between all of them, they eventually take her under their wings treating her as one more member of the team.
And obviously the Rock Chicks welcome her as “rock sister” too and well… Vance welcomes her in more intimate ways.
He used to be one of those kids Jules saves every day, so he feels connected to her and their story starts to happen.
Well, another great book in an amazingly badass series. I love this girls, it is one of the few series where the heroines don’t annoy me to no end. (Well, in fact I don’t think I ever get annoyed by a KA’s heroine!)
And well, on account of my deep love for alpha-males, I love all the boys from these books. All.
(But well, Lee is still my favorite!)
To finish I just have to say that Boo was my favorite character of this book, probably my favorite character in this series so far. He is the most awesome cat ever! xD
And one more thing: Why the hell didn't you start reading this already??!
2 Unfinished stars. DNF at 64%.
So this is the story of Emma and Teren.
They crash into each other one day and from that day on things get heated and they start to fall for each other. Thing is: Teren is a “little bit” vampire.
And while that was a shock for Emma, that used to put vampire in the same box as “Santa Claus”, she eventually accepts Teren for who he is. Especially because “Hot” is one of those things he is.
But Teren isn’t telling everything (Yeah, there’s still more to tell than “I’m a little bit vampire”.) and things are going to get rough (er), so Emma must decide if this vampire is worth fighting for… or if there are things you simply don’t get yourself into.
Well, you are wondering why I didn’t finish it and still gave it two stars, right?
It bored the hell out of me but the story isn’t bad. Just boring.
And the writing is pretty damn good.
Maybe one day, when I have more free time, I’ll get back to reading it… but for now, I have too many books to read and very little time to do it, so I really can’t afford losing time in books that bore me.
However, if you’re a fan of PNR you should give it a try ;)
4 Beautifully Broken Stars!!After a book I’ve read a few days ago that made cry one whole night while reading it, I promised myself I would take an “angst-break”. No more books filled with angst and no more books that would provoke me crying attacks.
Well, obviously I didn’t know that this would be one of those. But what can I say? It was so good that I forgot my own decisions! ;)
This is the story of Nova and Quinton. There are both broken by their past.
Nova ex-boyfriend died and Quinton ex-girlfriend and cousin died in a car accident while he was driving and he feels guilty about it.
Nova is trying to move on, to try to be happy and feel alive again.
Quinton is trying to forget and just be numb to the outside world. He justs wants to forget everything and one day disappear for good.
So when they meet each and feelings that neither of them wants but that can’t also ignore, starts to appear, all they have been trying to do with their lives starts to change.
But dealing with life is hard… and from that day one their lives (and this book)will be a damn roller-coaster of emotions.
God, this was emotional, filled with angst, messed with my feelings and I loved every single second of it.
The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars it’s because there was moments where I found it too much angsty and I really HATE cliffhangers when I have to wait months for the next book.
(I know, unfair… but what can I do?)
I don’t know if I’ve said it before, but no one can master the creation of beautifully broken characters like Jessica Sorensen does.
So if you are into books that will certainly bring you to tears, you have to read this one! : )
4 Unexpected Stars!
In this second installment we have Katelyn and Harrison.
Harrison lives for his music and his son. He never expected to fall in love.
And he especially never expected to fall in love with a woman raising her two twins alone and mourning the loss of her ex-husband.
Katelyn can’t deny her feelings for Harrison anymore. But she can’t stop feeling like she’s betraying her husband. Even knowing that he would want her to be happy and move on.
But the most she tries to ignore her feelings and convince herself that he’s just a playboy musician like so many others, the more she knows him, the more she realizes that is not true and her feelings grow even more.
And so this story turned this book in a beautiful journey that teaches us how to mend broken hearts and how to move on after we lost everything.
This was a very sweet (and real hot in some moments!) story. I loved Harrison, and I did like Katelyn although she pissed me off in some moments. I understood where she came from, but still, there’s a limit for stubbornness.
The kids in these books are awesome (as all the supportive characters!) but what I really liked the best was the moments where Liam and Josie would show up. They’re still my favorites ones ;)
Anyway, if you haven’t started on this series… start! And if you already started, you’ll want to read this! : )
5 Beautifully broken stars! This book starts with Nathan finally admitting his feelings for Lila, after almost losing her before.
But with a broken body, a broken soul… and a broken heart, Lila is not willing to let him come into her life again, she already was hurt enough to last a lifetime.
Unfortunately, in her circumstances she hasn't exactly another choice, so her feelings start to getting harder to ignore. Especially when now, Nate is very open with his.
But Nathan’s inability to let go of the past and Lila’s unwillingness to live with his ghosts get in the way. In this book we see a much stronger Lila that despite all the problems that still haunt her, when it comes to her heart she was hurt one too many times and she is taking no prisoners when it comes to protect it.
But Nathan is doing the same when it comes to have Lila and he will do everything in his power to keep her.
So this is basically two broken souls trying to reach for each other, with a lot of ghosts in their path, and finding their way to happiness together.
This book was even better than the first one (I know, how is that even possible, right??), and I fell even more connected to the story.
Lila and Nathan are the most broken and f*ucked couple you’ll ever cross paths with, and you will not be able to not love them and root for their happiness together after all the darkness they've been through.
I loved everything single second of this achingly beautiful love story and I can’t wait for the third book to see its (hopefully happy) end!:)
4,5 “Whisky Stars” !!
This third book in this awesome series, tell us the story of Roxie and Hank (Lee’s brother. Remember him? Of course you do! )
For all of you, who just started this series and want to read his story, well: you’ll not be disappointed.
Roxie is Tex’s niece (Crazy coffee master of Fortnum’s) and fell in love only twice in their life. The first time was with Billy, her asshole ex-boyfriend who ruined her to the point the years after she doesn’t feel worthy of anyone.
Much less of the guy who made her fell in love for the second time: Hank.
She just wants to run away, forget about the guy who is too good for her and start fresh somewhere else.
Yeah, her shithead ex-boyfriend totally deserves a high-five in the face. With a six-hundred pages book.
But… oh well, Hank’s having none of it.
He knew a lot of women in his life so he knows exactly what he wants and he wants Roxie in his life. And if she has problems, he is there for her even if she doesn’t want him there. (Or think she doesn’t, because everyone around knows that she wants.)
So when her, not only asshole but also sick and psychotic, ex-boyfriend comes after her, he is going to be there for her, whatever happens.
Even when she tries to run. Using the most sexiest ways to keep her around.
Although the first one is still my favorite, I’m pretty torn between all this guys because I just can’t decide which one of them is my favorite. They are all the most perfect hot bunch of alpha-males ever created.
This story is very good and sweeter than the previous ones. And as ever, Kristen Ashley’s heroines are almost as awesome as the heroes. (Almost!)
Boy, if you haven’t started these books by now… what the hell are you waiting for?
4 Real Sweet Bucket-list Stars!”Maybe it’s not in the perfection of life that things make sense, but in the chaos.”
This is the story of Kiersten and Wes.
Kiersten is mourning the loss of her parents, she never had the chance of saying goodbye to them and she closed herself to the world, afraid of having to feel loss again. She is kind of a broken soul.
Enter Wes. Tv show star, completely hot and unfortunately, extremely sick.
So he knows he can’t fall in love with her, not when he doesn’t know how much more time he could have and especially when she doesn’t know about his condition and when she won’t be able to deal with the loss of more people in her life.
But the thing is: neither of them can’t help it.
When it’s real there’s nothing you can do to stop it.
This was a real sweet reading. Both Kiersten and Wes are amazing characters and I felt connected to them since page one. The supportive characters were also pretty good and I’m hoping we’ll be able to read Gabe’s story.
There were really heartbreaking moments but the story is so beautiful that you can almost ignore the angst behind it.
The only reason I’m not giving it five stars it’s because it was a bit too sickly sweet, and had too much motivational talk. I mean, there has to be a limit of “in how many different ways can you say to enjoy life”.
Other than that, a pretty great book.
You should try it ;)
4.5 “Sexting” stars!!!Lexie is a wedding designer. She is the woman who makes brides dreams come true (and very famous brides!) so her work is all about image.
And since she wants to be the next “it thing” when it comes to wedding dresses, image suddenly becomes everything.
Jax used to be an actor. Until he gave up because that didn’t make him happy and became a stunt actor. Which is basically and very sexy and dangerous career choice.
He is sexy, a bad-boy and doesn’t want commitments because all girls just want him for the looks or for the connections he has.
Both of them are afraid of relationships because people always want them for the wrong reasons. Not to mention Lexie needs to be seen in order to make it.. and Jax wants nothing more than to be unseen.
But when what started as a simple sexual relationship with no strings, quickly becomes something more… well, the story gets more complicated.
First let me tell you: This was hot!! And the sexting, oh boy, the sexting!
The story was pretty good and I find myself hooked to every page of this book. I don’t know how isn’t everyone crazy about this: They should be.
The only reason I’m not giving it five stars is because the end seemed to short to me.
Other than that, I know that I’ll definitely keep reading these books!

5 completely amazing stars!!Okay. Let me breathe for a minute.

This was SO.DAMN.GOOD!!
And I my nerves almost killed me, and I don’t know how it will possibly go from here, and I’m really afraid of what will happen with the next book because of its title and after that end and that strange “Luxen calling” I think Daemon and Katy will be in opposite sides of the war and yeah… I’m rambling. Sorry. (I’m really not that sorry!)
Okay, this picks up right after that horrible CH in the third book, with Katy stuck God knows where with the Deadalus and Daemon turning everything and everyone around trying to save her.
I’m really not telling you everything that happens in this book, because that’s basically impossible. But it’s awesome and it will blow your mind!
Everything will change in this book and you’ll not know who the good guys are anymore. This will get confusing, messy… and you’ll love every second of it.
It’s great to see the old and new awesome characters interaction and Daemon and Katy… well, they are probably one of the greatest book-couples ever.
They’re sweet and it’s impossible not to be completely in love with every scene they have together.
I’ve already tell you that I love everything that Jennifer writes… these series are the reason why. I don’t think there are better young adult paranormal books better than these.
Neither YA nor PNR are my all time favorite genres… but somehow this has those two factors together and I just can’t stop loving it. Daemon Black is probably one of my biggest book-crushes. (Fact that should make me ashamed considering that he is a teenager and I should be a wiser adult!)
Now I will grumble and scream with everyone around me every time I remember that I’ll have to wait months and months for the next one. CAN’T FREAKIN’ WAIT!!
4 Sweet-pea scented stars! ;) Meet Reese and Mason’s story.
Reese is running away from her ex-boyfriend who tried to kill her and when she starts her new life in a college across the country, she meets hot and mysterious guy, Mason.
Well, long story short: Mason is a gigolo. (Yeah, she sure knows how to pick them!!)
But one night she gets a baby-sitting job and when she gets there she finds out is no one less than Mason’s little sister. And that’s when she finds out why he does what he does and starts to get another idea of him. After all, he’s doing it for his family, even if it means sacrifice himself.
So, they start as being friends.
But soon feelings start to grow and things will eventually start to change.
But his situation isn’t easy… or her past.
And how can they build something real… when she doesn’t think she can deal with is… hobby, and when he believes that he’ll never be worthy of her?
This was such and sweet and romantic book!
Believe, I was expecting something full of angst (and I’m kind of on a angsty-books vacation :P ) and drama… but although there was some angst and some drama it was a light and very enjoyable reading.
There were moments that made me want to smile and hug a pillow and the characters were pretty likeable.
Definitely, a book worth reading. :)
4 Red Carpet Stars 
Lex is the only daughter of an old music legend who killed himself a few years ago and left her and her mother without anything.
And being a Manhattan Socialite and with appearances to maintain, when she found herself with nothing she created a clothesline from nothing that is now starting to rise into stardom. But in order to be the best, she needs to make the best… and for that she needs the fabrics from the Giradoli Garment Company, which is revealing to be harder than she thought. But she is persistence and will fight for her dream… even if she has to go to Italy and try to convince the CEO herself.
The CEO is no one less than Prince Massimo, the ultimate billionaire hot playboy that even belongs to the Italian royalty.
And Massimo didn’t expect the CEO of Easton to be so stubborn… in fact, he didn’t even expected it would be a woman, and a hot one!!
Both of them are slightly troubled by past and unable to commit… but when feelings starts to get messed up, things start to heat and well… you can say that their professional relationship will never be the same.
This was way better than I was expecting it to be. (My expectations weren’t very high, I confess.)
There were basically two drastic speeds in this book: Extremely Hot and Extremely Funny.
It was a very entertaining reading with good steam in the middle.
I particularly liked the little explanation of the characters and the surroundings in the beginning of the book; it was a good change of pace.
If you’re looking for a light, fun reading, this is without a doubt the book for you! ;)
4 sweet stars!! : ) Okay, now we have Eddie (you remember him, right? Lee’s best friend, from the first book!) and Jet.
Jet is juggling two jobs trying to take care of her sick mother and doesn’t want anyone to know about her life.
Eddie is very interested in her (not that she notices, which is ironic considering that she is totally smitten by him!!), and being the sexy badass detective that he is, soon finds out about her “hidden life”.
When Jet’s dad, basically an asshole that owes money to bad people, puts Jet in his trouble, Eddie has to step in and try to save her. Even when she doesn’t want to be saved because she believes that she can take care of herself on her own.
So yeah… Stubborn Heroine + Sexy Alpha Male + Kristen Ashley = completely funny and sexy book with a very (VERY!) hot hero.
And although I slightly liked the first one better, I loved it anyway, because this is basically my relation with all KA’s books:
Seriously, go read this series, right now! :P
3.5 Skydiving Stars! Meagan is looking for the safe guy. She’s done with the bad boys, the playboys, the ones who want to just enjoy.
She just wants someone who comes home every night at the exactly same hours and lives with her in a house with a white picket fence, a dog and 3.45 kids. Yeah, for a moment there you’ll just want to tell her:
And then she meets Reed. A rush and adrenaline addicted he just wants to take life one day at a time. No commitments, no long-term plans, no chains.
And although they both had good reasons to be, and act, that way, this make them both exactly what they are NOT looking for.
But their attraction is undeniable and it’s good to see how they try to fight it (while at the same time pursuing each other, obviously.) and knowing that is basically useless.
But that’s the deal with books: The characters just don’t listen to you!!
This is very sweet, well written and with real likeable characters.
If you’re in the mood for the “light and fast” sweet romance kind of story, this is the book for you! ;)
5 F*cking amazing storming Stars!!
So, this is me in the end of this book (and in the beginning… and some chapters in the middle):
Well, Jake it’s on one of the first places of my book-boyfriend list, so I’m probably biased writing this because, well, there’s Jake there so it’s all good to me.
Anyway, in this second installment we have Jake and Tru right after being engaged in the end of the first book and spending a vacation in a almost desert tropical island where everything is perfect.
But soon they have to go back to the real world and things are not so perfect there.
Jakes past with drugs and women (especially women!) keeps getting in the way and their trust and communication issues are still there, not helping the case.
To put the cherry on top of the cake Jake says he doesn’t want kids, that he has a asshole of a role-model growing up and would not know how to be one. And Tru…well, she really wants kids so this puts them in a very different place when it comes to their future.
But life has its own sick way of twisting all our plans and change everything we once though, so, when life keeps changing everything around them, Jake and Tru must decide if they are in it for the long haul, or if it just too much for them to be able to overcome.
If you loved the first book, you will definitely love this. Is even better than the first (Yes, girls, it IS possible!!)
Tru is still a little annoying but she does a lot of growing up in this book, the supportive characters (especially Stuart!!!) are great as usual. I really can’t wait for Tom’s story.
And Jake… oh, well, Jake…
Go read it now, people. What are you waiting for?
5 Amazing cherry-blossom stars!!!
Okay… I need a minute here!! I need to get myself together in order to write this review.

No, on the other hand I basically just need to say only one thing: THIS WAS AWESOME!!!
So, basically after the cliffhanger in the first book (really, don’t keep reading this if you haven’t read the first one yet!!!), Ellie’s gone with Javier in order to save Camden.
But although Javier has is own sick plans and isn’t done with Ellie, Camden is set on finding her and give her the life she deserves, even if it breaks him and until the bitter end.
And so stars the most amazing chase ever and the awesomeness with this book. I won’t tell you anything else… because, well, you have to read it, but I can tell you will be stuck to this book until the last page and in the end you’ll be left crying for more.
What can I say? Karina Halle totally did it again. This woman is a writing genius.
My one and only complaint was I needed more Camden and Ellie moments. (Yeah, I’m totally Team Camden if you haven’t got that yet :P )
Other than that… I just have to say that I will now sit in a chair and pout until the third book comes out! :P
