5 Amazing roller-coaster stars!!What was supposed to be a simple and quick reading, turned out into one of the most amazing books I’ve read in a long time and this story will stay with me for an even longer time.
“You can call it love, or you can call it freefall. They're pretty much the same thing.”
Love isn’t always easy. It always happens how we want it and when we want it. Sometimes it’s unexpected and starts with a roller-coaster.
It starts with a falling and it couldn’t be more accurate because find love is falling faster by the second and not even caring about it.
Sometimes it’s with the wrong person at the wrong time. Sometimes it’s between a student and a teacher and it’s forbidden. But you can help it, because when both of you have ghosts and a dark past, that love, as forbidden as it is, slowly starts to heal you.
Part of falling in love with someone is actually falling in love with yourself.Despite the angst and the emotional roller-coaster, I loved every second of this book and its characters. And I loved that although being a teacher / student story it wasn’t creepy at all, but really beautiful.
Maise is not your traditional annoying heroine, she is fierce, knows what she wants and she’s kind of a badass bitch. I loved her.
And I especially loved how sweet and caring Evan is with her.
I think that what got in this book, even more than the story, was the writing.
Leah has a simply amazing writing style and a huge capacity of creating intricate and utterly incredible characters. She got me addicted in the first line and that addiction didn’t stop until the last word.
I’ll definitely grab without hesitation anything this woman writes.
If there are books that in the end of their reading teach us something and make us see the world in a completely different light, this book is definitely one of those.
